Gallup: 67% of Americans Would Vote for A Gay President; 49% Would Vote for an Atheist President

Gallup just released a poll about with American voters' willingness to choose the President of the United States based on several characteristics, including religion and sexual orientation.

While only 49% would vote for an atheist, 67% of Americans would vote for a gay president. I'm not sure why being an atheist is viewed so negatively, but it's telling that more people would vote for a gay president than gay marriage. Still think religion doesn't have to do with it?  I also would welcome an atheist president, as a lack of religion should not disqualify someone automatically.
