NEW: GLUEtwittering the DimTwits

This is our first of many GLUEtwitter posts where we bring the rantings and ravings of random DimTwits to your attention. Here's how it works. First, we browse around Twitter looking for DimTwits aka people who use Twitter to spew hateful nonsense. Then, we RT them and respond to their ignorance. We'll sometimes open a dialogue if they want to have a good conversation, and other times we'll hear nothing back.

It's a bit tame.  But to give you an idea of what we are going to start doing, here is the first batch of DimTwits:

DimTwit: RT @WingKing20 @JoshuaHess44 sounds like a lot of thought went into that twitter account. welcome to the party. @DFunk11 is a fag. just an FYI
GLUEtwitter: RT @GLUEamerica Please don't use the word fag like that, @WingKing20. Words hurt people. Think before you speak.

DimTwit: RT @iBall_59 If you text another nigga "Hey" you a fag
GLUEtwitter: RT @GLUEamerica Hey, @iBall_59 don't be such a DimTwit and use the word "fag" like that. Words hurt people, so please show some respect.

DimTwit: RT @kaylasmiith @wyattstokes nice picture fag
GLUEtwitter: RT @GLUEamerica @kaylasmiith You shouldn't use the words "fag" or "gay" in such a demeaning way. Words hurt people. Think before you speak.

  1. How do people not understand yet that you can't be going around saying those words?!?! Very frustrating!

  2. Because people sometimes (shockingly) don't know any better or they just don't care. That's why it is extremely important to speak up when someone uses that language. They need to know that it is not okay.
