SHOCKER: LGBT Suicides More Common In Politically Conservative Areas

UPDATE: Even more proof. According to a new CNN poll, 64% percent of Democrats & 55% of independents believe same-sex marriages should be legally recognized, while 71% of Republicans say they should not. How illustrative of the ideological divide between Republicans and mainstream American. Even more telling is that 55% of people in the Northeast, 54% of people in the Midwest, and 61% of people in the West want gay marriage legalized, while only 41% of people in the South support gay marriage.

What side of history will you be on?

The debate around LGBT bullying/suicide centers around whether or not you want your state to be on the right or wrong side of history. A recent study found that suicide attempts by gay teens (and even straight teens) are more common in politically conservative areas where there is little to no access to programs supporting gay rights.

What does that tell you?

P.S. The number of 2012 Republican presidential candidates in support of gay rights = ZERO. Which side of history do you want to be on?
