What States Have the Most Divorced People? The Anti-Gay Ones!

Florida and Indiana both have three counties in the top 10 highest divorce percentages in America. This is divorced people-- not rates. SO, people who are divorced but remarried are not counted in these statistics!

By state, some of the highest are:

Nevada- 14% (Domestic partnerships but the constitution bans gay marriage)
Maine- 13.6% (Gays are fighting a Prop. 8 like repeal of marriage in November)
Oklahoma- 12.9 % (Constitution bans gay marriage and civil unions)
Tennessee- 12.5% (Constitution bans gay marriage)
Arkansas- 12.5 % (Even the single gays can't adopt here; constitution bans gay marriage and civil unions)
Florida- 12.4% (Gays can't even adopt let alone get married)

Some of the lowest:

New Jersey- 8.2% (Civil unions, with gay marriage expected soon)
New York- 8.4% (Gay marriages performed elsewhere are recognized)
Massachusetts- 9.1% (First state to legalize gay marriage in 2003)
Washington, DC- 10% (Gay marriages performed elsewhere are recognized)

Other interesting facts: Oklahoma has the highest rate of people who have been married three or more times, and Utah/Idaho have the youngest median bride at 23.5 years old. About 150,000 gay couples registered as married.
