Ever Wanted To See What It Feels Like To Be Denied Your Rights?

A few same-sex couples have asked for marriage licenses. After they were denied, almost 50 people joined to "sit in" and protest. Diana Bradrick, the chief deputy recorder/clerk, said "I'm sorry, but under state law, we aren't allowed to issue licenses to same-sex couples."

The protests are in response to the California Supreme Court's ruling yesterday that upheld the anti-gay Prop 8.

UPDATE 8:07 PM- It is 5:07 PM in CA and arrests are starting. Those who willingly leave will not be arrested.
